- 摘要
- This paper examines the spatial implications of Sydney’s vertical expansion over the past decade. Enabled by a partnership between market forces and strategic planning policy, the data indicate that the city’s high-density development boom has been primarily shaped by economic viability concerns, driving a spatial policy shift to better align better with market forces. The paper concludes that in the absence of more comprehensive housing and urban policies, housing supply ultimately remains primarily a numbers game, delivered where the market finds it most profitable to do so, with planning acting to facilitate development in these locations. 论文的结论是,在缺乏更全面的住房和城市政策的情况下,住房供应最终仍主要是一个数字游戏,在市场认为最有利可图的地方进行,通过规划行动来促进这些地区的发展.KEYWORDS: Urban policy, urban redevelopment, density, compact city, metropolitan planning, spatial planningDisclosure statementNo potential conflict of interest was reported by the authors.Additional informationFundingThis work was supported by the Australian Research Council [DP140100452].
