摘要: Worldwide, housing is one of the most important causes for social conflict in any city; however, in the case of Chile and the pobladores movement, conflicts over housing have become a very important social and political issue. The aim of this work is to first carry out an update of the geography of the housing conflict in Santiago, Chile, and secondly to analyze how the repertoire of protest and narratives of the pobladores movement have innovated and evolved considerably since its high point during the decade of 1960 to 1973 and increasing its complexity, as we shall see in a case of conflict: The Ukamau Social Housing Project in the area of Maestranza de San Eugenio, Santiago de Chile.
